You may think that being in a sorority will cause your academic work to suffer. In reality, the opposite is true. We encourage our members to make school their top priority. On the Iowa State University campus, the Greek system boasts a higher overall GPA than the rest of the student body. Our chapter has placed above the all Panhellenic GPA on several occasions and is currently above the all-women's GPA.
It goes without saying that one of Gamma Phi Beta’s primary values is scholastic excellence. After all, the number one reason for coming to college is to get an education! Gamma Phi Beta works with its new members to build a foundation for a strong academic career during their time at Iowa State and beyond. We have implemented mentoring program to help younger members get the most out of their academic careers by helping with schedule planning, test files, and more.
As our members develop and settle in to their own personal style of studying, Gamma Phi Beta is there is continue to support them with tutoring, study hours, test files and other personal attention. We also provide programming for real world success, such a resume building and interviewing skills workshops.
