FOUR REASONS YOUR DAUGHTER SHOULD PLEDGE Gamma Phi Beta

    Academics
Your daughter is a potential member because her scholastic record brought her to an institution with a Gamma Phi Beta chapter. We want to support your daughter’s vision to excel and to be a leader in and out of the classroom. College is about learning theories and assumptions, but also a time to learn about you. We hope to foster your daughter’s creativity and drive in all aspects of her collegiate experience.

    Commitment & Leadership
Gamma Phi Beta is committed to your daughter’s membership experience. Our Founders vision was to create a women’s organization based on sisterhood, scholarship and service. We hold each of these tenants true today in all that we do and commit to you. Your daughter will learn life and professional skills that she will use over the course of her entire life.

    Sisterhood & Support
The bonds of friendship tie each of our members together during college and post-graduate years. It is the friendships formed that lead to smiles, laughter, tears and ultimately memories that your daughter will cherish for a lifetime. In Gamma Phi Beta, it is the individual that makes the difference in your experience – and a collection of brilliant individuals leads to the experience of a lifetime.

    Tradition

Gamma Phi Beta was founded in 1874 by four of the first women to enter Syracuse University. When they were denied entrance to men’s fraternities, they created their own and began a path of sisterhood and friendship that holds 130 plus years of cherished moments and traditions. Each chapter upholds traditions begun by these four remarkable women, while at the same time they hold dear customs created by the founders of their own chapters. While each member lives in the present, it is our past traditions that bind us all together
